The safety and wellbeing of all students attending the March 15 strikes has and will be prioritised by all school strike organisers.

Our network is decentralised and student-led, however we have gone out of our way to communicate that students attending strikes should have the written consent of their parents/legal guardians.

A template letter for doing this is available here.

We are proud of the maturity and common sense shown by students involved in this vibrant movement. Ultimately, the wellbeing and safety of students who are under 18 attending the strikes rests with their parents/guardians.

Teams of marshals will be present at strikes. In the major cities, these will be large teams who will liaise closely with the police to help keep everyone safe. School Strikers 4 Climate Action

School Strike 4 Climate Australia pays our respect to Traditional Owners who have cared for this land for tens of thousands of years. We acknowledge that this land was stolen from them, and that sovereignty has never been ceded. There can be no climate justice without justice for First Nations people.
